Although the strength of Nozbe lies in structured work within projects, tasks, and comments used to collect information, materials, decisions, and discussions related to a specific task, we are responding to customer requests and introducing group messages.
Private messages - you already know them
In addition to individual messages, in which you can:
- discuss private matters,
- have casual conversations,
- talk about things you don’t yet want to write in task comments…
we are also introducing group messages!
Group messages in Nozbe - speed up communication
With the new feature, you can send a message to all workspace members, e.g. a company announcement, information about changes, or wishes and congratulations.
You can also create chats with selected workspace members. Such a chat will remain on your conversation list, so the history of discussions within a given group is safely stored.
You can create such a recipient group yourself or use an existing group of people in Nozbe. User groups can be created by the workspace owner or administrator. These groups are visible to all workspace members - creating a private group is not possible.
To create a group, open the “Workspace members” view in the left panel, then select “Groups” → “+ New group”.
From conversation to action - creating tasks from messages
From any message you can create a task. This is useful when, during a casual discussion, something important comes up that is worth implementing, adding to an existing project, and showing to the rest of the team.
Thanks to this:
- important decisions don’t get lost in conversation,
- decisions can be assigned immediately to a specific person,
- the context of the discussion is preserved in the task.
This makes chat not only a communication tool, but also a support for real team work management.

Important note
Nozbe is valued by small and medium-sized teams because it effectively organizes work, enables structured project workflows, and allows task delegation to specific people.
The new group chat feature may tempt users to move discussions and decisions about specific tasks from comments to the chat window. This approach can lead to chaos and a return to old inefficient habits of using Slack, WhatsApp, or Messenger as collaboration and communication tools within an organization. Please remember that chat works best for communication that is:
- fast,
- informal,
- general or announcement-based.
Tasks and comments, on the other hand, remain the place for decisions, agreements, and work documentation.
